They feel, they have been let down by SF, because now Major Label Artists have found their way into the site. Of the four spotlights - artist of the month, weekly showcase artist, daily pick artist and homepage winner - the weekly showcase now goes exculsively to Major Label Artists. After putting very much work into the site, climbing in rank, connecting to artists and listeners, submitting music to labels,... I have sold 7 track in all in those four month and created about 14 free downloads. Listeners are mostly other artists who hope to promote themseves by showing up on my page. I made some friends and bought a couple of tracks, but I´d say SF is very much inbred, there are about a hundred artists who get signed all over again and again because the gain points to their labels. I even got some label submissions where artists recommended themselves not through their music but as "major point getters on this site" Playing the game on stereofame is all about points and rank and not so much about music, or that is what I feel after having been involved for 4 months.
