Another helpful hint, and one that has helped me out:

http://www.archive.org has links to hundreds of copyright-free stock footage and public domain clips. String your video together using these! It’s low budget, and I have made two such videos using this method:

On the last one, davidmahr (who did the vocals) also added some video production over it, but the basis is all stock copyright free clips from archive.org

Who says you need a budget to do video???

glad to hear the you’re still out there in the digi-verse. I hope everything is going well with Zoe.

I’ll have to agree that at least for me, the more low-tech/home-grown/simple the video, the better. I think it lends much more of an air of personality, and makes the listener/watcher feel a little more of a connection to the music. I’ve found that I almost exclusively listen to small one or two person bands now, as I enjoy folks that make the music they want, not what some record exec thinks will market/sell.
