I don&#8217;t have any data to back up that decision, but as Han Solo and I always say, &#8220;Never tell me the odds!&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You may be wondering how we came up with those particular entry methods, out of the insane number of choices:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/passivepromotion.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/entry-methods.png\" alt=\"entry methods\" class=\"wp-image-4639\" width=\"798\" height=\"276\" srcset=\"https:\/\/passivepromotion.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/entry-methods.png 1596w, https:\/\/passivepromotion.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/entry-methods-450x156.png 450w, https:\/\/passivepromotion.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/entry-methods-740x256.png 740w, https:\/\/passivepromotion.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/entry-methods-1080x374.png 1080w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 798px) 100vw, 798px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Our initial plan was to focus on Instagram, but recent API changes forced Gleam to remove follow actions for both Instagram and Facebook. Instead, ROLI opted for email signups and app downloads.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I went with Spotify follows and email signups. Spotify actions are available starting on the $49 Pro Plan, but I could&#8217;ve just as easily gone with SoundCloud for only $10:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/passivepromotion.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/SoundCloud-options.png\" alt=\"SoundCloud options\" class=\"wp-image-4640\" width=\"262\" height=\"185\" srcset=\"https:\/\/passivepromotion.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/SoundCloud-options.png 524w, https:\/\/passivepromotion.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/SoundCloud-options-450x318.png 450w, https:\/\/passivepromotion.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/SoundCloud-options-520x370.png 520w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 262px) 100vw, 262px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Two other features of the $49 Pro Plan stood out to me:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><strong>Smart Post Entry Emails<\/strong>. Each entrant receives an email to confirm their entry and let them know the other ways they can enter.<\/li><li><strong>Viral Share Action<\/strong>. Entrants gain extra entries by sharing a personalized contest link. It only counts when someone else actually enters.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>We blasted a link to the contest out on email, our social channels, and even as a widget in the sidebar of <a href=\"http:\/\/passivepromotion.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Passive Promotion<\/a>. Put your most desired actions first! If I could do it again, I&#8217;d put the email signup options below the Spotify follow and app download.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gleam selected the winner for me at random: Aaron Melon of Denver, Colorado. ROLI and I followed up with him by email to deliver the prizes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After that, we emailed our new subscribers to announce the winner and to offer a discount code, since they obviously expressed an interest in the Seaboard Block and\/or my albums.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And that was a wrap! Gleam made it painless.
